AUC/ ICAO/ AFCAC/ RECs Multidisciplinary meeting was convened from 12 and 13 April 2023 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The meeting is convened once every two (2) years (one year before the ICAO Assembly) to update the joint action plan between AUC, ICAO, AFCAC and the RECs.
The objective of the meeting was to review the plan of action for 2023-2025 and align it with recent developments within the African Union notably the launching of the Single African Air Transport Market, the Launching of African Continental Free Trade Area, the Launching of African Passport, current activities of Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention, Emergency Operation Center Support to African States, counter terrorism and border control, and contribution of civil aviation to African rural economy and agriculture.
