About the AFCAC Plenary
The AFCAC Plenary, held once every three years as mandated by its constitution, serves as the supreme organ of the African Civil Aviation Commission (AFCAC).
35th AFCAC Ordinary Plenary Session in Brazzaville from 26 to 29 November 2024
The 35th AFCAC Ordinary Plenary Session, hosted by the Republic of Congo, will be held from November 26 to 29, 2024, at Hotel Les Tours Jumelles in Brazzaville.
Event Highlights:
- November 26-27: Plenary agenda sessions
- November 28: YD Day Anniversary and High-Level Ministerial Meeting
- November 29: Optional day: Exhibition, Business-to-Business Networking Sessions, and a social program

3. Visa Information
An entry visa to the Republic of Congo is mandatory for all delegates. Visas can be obtained at the Embassy or Consulate of the Republic of Congo in your country of nationality or residence. If there is no diplomatic representation of the Republic of Congo in your country, you can obtain a visa on arrival.
The visa fee for all African citizens entering the Republic of Congo is USD 50.
The AFCAC Secretariat and the Civil Aviation Authority of Congo are making arrangements to assist nationals of States who require a visa to enter Congo.
Delegates needing visa assistance on arrival are requested to complete the necessary application using the following link https://www.afcac.org/35th-plenary-logistic/. Additionally, delegates should forward their flight itinerary and copies of their passports to Mr. Alfred Romuald NGUYA POATY via the email addresses: info@anaccongo.cg and a copy to Secretariat@afcac.org.
Additional information (28/10/2024): Diplomatic and service passports are exempt from visa and other fees, based on agreements between countries.
Additional Information (07/11/2024): A signed visa letter from the Government of the Republic of Congo, for visa-on-arrival processing, is provided in Annex B of this Information Bulletin. This letter, in the official language of the Host State (French), ensures that visas will be issued upon arrival at Maya-Maya International Airport in Brazzaville and will facilitate boarding from departure airports.
Delegates should present this letter, along with the confirmed and signed participant list and any other required documents, to confirm their attendance at the AFCAC Plenary Event.
AFCAC has provided supplementary visa letters in both English and Portuguese. These letters, signed by AFCAC, summarize the content of the visa letter issued by the Republic of Congo. Participants authorized for visa on arrival will receive an individual email with an attached document, including the full list of participants approved for visa on arrival, stamped by the Congolese authorities.
We kindly ask that this list be used solely to facilitate your boarding and not be shared.
If you do not receive this list by 15 November, please inform AFCAC at nfdiouf@afcac.org so we can provide urgent assistance.
