Ghana Chairs AFCAC For Next Triennium


Air Cdre Kwame Mamphey (President) - Mahamat Saleh Douga (Former President)


Air Cdre Kwame Mamphey, Director General of Ghana Civil Aviation Authority, has been appointed to represent Ghana as President of the African Civil Aviation Commission (AFCAC) for its next triennium.

The appointment was made on the last day of the 23rd Plenary Session of AFCAC held in Accra, from 2-5th April, 2013.

Air Cdre Mamphey pledged to work hand in hand with member states to address challenges facing the Commission. He assured that, “…we would overcome challenges and enjoy the benefits that come with a united front and a developed industry”.

He expressed appreciation to the Commission for choosing Ghana to chair it for the next  triennium, and also for extending the tenure of Ghana’s representation on the air navigation commission, saying it was an indication that members were pleased with the work of Ghana’s representation on the Commission.

He commended the immediate past President, Mr. Mahamat Saleh Douga (Chad) for his  service and entreated him and other executives to avail themselves for the new members to tap their wealth of wisdom.
