AFCAC’s vision is to “foster a safe, secure, efficient, cost-effective, sustainable and environmentally friendly Civil Aviation industry in Africa” while IATA’s vision is “To be the force for value creation and innovation driving a safe, secure and profitable air transport industry that sustainably connects and enriches our world”.

Thus, the purpose of this Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) is to encourage cooperation between IATA and AFCAC in different areas of the Air transport industry including Safety, Security, Operations, Infrastructure and User charges.
