The first two days are dedicated to development of relevant Working Papers (WPs) showing Africa’s position on selected Air Navigation and/or Safety agenda items. The last two days are for the review of the WPs and make recommendations for AFCAC member States to submit to ICAO for the 13th Air Navigation Conference to be held in Montreal from 9-19 October 2018.

At the Montreal Conference, subject matter experts will participate in detailed technical discussions which are expected to lead to agreement on a set of high-level recommendations in different key performance areas of the air navigation system. These recommendations will be submitted for approval to the ICAO Council for subsequent endorsement by the 40th Session of the Assembly in 2019.
